No one yells unless overtaken by glee,
And my home is quiet.
Everyone finds a tissue in a timely manner,
And no one makes sound when they chew,
Unless it is praise for the chef or good conversation.
Common objects are treated with decency,
Never slammed or banged,
Unless it is an unruly door or a demanding cymbal.
In my perfect world,
Everyone is a problem-solver,
Not problem-solver-seekers.
No one makes sweeping statements,
Unless there is some exception.
No one lies or cheats,
Unless they are cheating death or laying with another.
No one dreads work,
Nor works too hard.
I could go on and on and on,
But most of all,
I want it to be quiet.
